Something New Will Come With The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette

Many vehicles at the Specialty Equipment Market Association show are so wild they’ll never see a new-car showroom. A pair of the Chevrolet Corvettes shown at last fall’s SEMA show, however, have spawned real-world production cars. The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette will offer an Atlantic Design package on convertibles equipped with the Z51 performance package, and a Pacific Design package on Z51 coupes.
Chevrolet says the Atlantic model (above) is inspired by, private jets seen at European vacation destinations. Available on a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 convertible in 2LT or 3LT trim, the Atlantic Design package adds a front splitter cribbed from the high-performance Z06, gray-painted exterior vents and hood graphic, chrome Torque wheels with special Stingray logo center caps, special splash guards, a new license-plate frame, and matching custom-fit luggage.

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Pacific, meanwhile, is positioned as a higher-performance model. Like the Atlantic, it also is available only on 2LT or 3LT models with the Z51 package. Special upgrades include satin-black stripes; satin-black wheels with a red stripe; red-painted brake calipers; carbon fiber versions of the rear spoiler, mirrors, and exterior badges; carbon fiber side skirts; an unpainted carbon fiber roof panel; and red or black Competition sport seats.
Pricing for the two models has not yet been announced. The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette also benefits from the addition of an optional eight-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the 2014 model’s six-speed automatic. A seven-speed manual, however, remains standard. In addition, the 2015 Corvette features the Performance Data Recorder, an option that allows drivers to record track laps and overlay data on videos of their driving.
